THIS WEEK'S EVENTS:

GRACE’S FOOD PANTRY - TONIGHT, Thursday, August 15, 6 p.m.

The pantry will be open this Thursday from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

If you, or someone you know, need to supplement your personal food pantry, please stop by on that evening.  And if you would like to volunteer to help greet and serve our guests, please contact Shelley Burdick.

MEN'S FRIDAY LUNCHEON: Friday, August 16, 11:30 a.m.

The men will be meeting at the The Valley Inn.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY TO FOSTER FAMILIES AND KIDS IN CARE: Collaborative Foster Care Carnival

Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sheridan Skate Park, 3325 W. Oxford Avenue

Foster Parent Appreciation Month is a great time to show your support -- GCC is hosting the "Duck Pond" booth. You can sign up for a shift by calling the office or making a note on your Connection Card on Sunday.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY: Sunday, August 18:Your Story Matters by Leslie Leyland Fields

There is one more discussion group meeting for this summer! We invite you to come, even if you haven't read the book.

Please note the change in location.

The discussion will take place in the Worship Center here at Grace beginning at 6:30 p.m..


OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES:

We have a goal of 50 online boxes by August 18. Use the QR code to build your box!

PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOR YOUNG ADULTS: Sunday, August 25, 9 a.m.

Isaac will be hosting a pancake breakfast in the lower level of the S. Building for CCU students and other young adults. Please get the word out to any young adult(s) you may know. And if you are willing to serve with Isaac, email isaac@gc


CONGREGATIONAL MEETING FOR BYLAW MODIFICATIONS: Sunday, August 25, 11:15 a.m. following the Worship Service.

All are welcome to attend; voting is for members only.



YOUNG FAMILIES EVENT: Sunday, August 25, 3 p.m.

All young families are invited to meet at Kendrick Lake Park to hang out and play.  We will have dessert, so just bring yourselves and get ready to have a good time being together!  Reach out to Alec or Kelcey Ellis with any questions.  


AWANA REGISTRATION: Wednesday, August 28, 5:30 p.m.

GCC'S ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY: Saturday, September 7
Save the date of Saturday, September 7 for GCC's annual Block Party. The party will begin at 5:30 p.m. with fun carnival-style events, food, games, snow cones, etc.  At sundown, we will watch a movie outdoors.
